I am reading Chronicles of the Kings series by Lynn Austin. The first was God and Kings and the second is Song of Redemption, I think there are five all together. It was a small group at church that I knew I couldn't be there for but still wanted to try the books. They are like a historical novel that tells you how it was to live in those times.
