Towel Wrap for Ellie...

Post by ShirleyC »

This is sewing and embroidery, but I'll just put it here. I needed something to give Ellie with her money so I thought she might like this. The "E" is the Annabelle Alphabet from Embroidery Boutique. It always stitches out so nice!
Everything was in my stash which is a good feeling to get some of that used up.

Shirley, do you have a pattern or directions for towel wraps. Reece’s Birthday was last week, so I want to give him a towel wrap along with that wonderful gift…all kids love! I remember you just made one for your grandson…..thanks a bunch! Linda

That is so cute!! Love the colors and the embroidery. I did one similar for my aunt and for Britt several years ago. I don't think mine had the elastic all the way around. That is probably better.

Linda, I found mine on the Sew4Home website.

Linda, I think the only towel wrap I ever made was for Shelby and her doll. I didn't write down what I did for some reason. I found this one on Pinterest, and wort of went by those instructions.

I know on Shelby's, I folded the edge down to make a casing to run the elastic through. Since my hands don't work good, I sewed the ribbon onto the towel, and I ran the elastic through that. It was much easier for me.
I cut about 5 inches off the length of the towel, but I could have cut more. Just hemmed it all around. I might have to go back and add straps to hers.

Linda--Sew4Home has a free towel wrap pattern--a full length one for women and a waist wrap for men.

Karen, that is very similar to the one I used. Mine did not have straps.

Thank you all! I plan to use a towel, but these patterns will help me immensely with the bath towel. I was so unsure of lengths and widths. The directions will be helpful as well! Thank you again….I hope I have elastic…I could tuck his birthday money into the pocket!

Do any of you use the stretchy Terry fabric or a cotton type Terry cloth fabric? BTW….I probably won’t have a willing model for the towel wrap. I will try to photo it and the quilt.

Again,so many thanks and hugs for your help. Linda in Iowa
