Make it up as you go along! Try new things. So I did all of that. Don't be to hard on my binding I have a real dislike for sewing bindings on by machine, but I was to do things I normally would not do! It really doesn't hurt to practice doing things you do not favor.

So does it say spring?

Sara, this is my first improv piece, I know it sort of reminds one of the log cabin but it is quilt as you go, strip quilting. It is a way to use up scraps and learn a lot along the way.
You have to use whatever strip you pick up!!

It sure does say Spring! Love those color choices. I wouldn't have noticed your binding if you hadn't pointed it out. The eye is immediately drawn to the center. I love it!
