Karen, the Angels are so beautiful. I think after seeing your latest ones, I purchased one and haven’t stitched it yet; I have always been a fan of Sonia Showalter…but OESD has a different dimension.

Those are so pretty! I still have yet to try FSL. It intimidates me. Do you use embroidery thread in the bobbin as well?

Kathy—just go for it! This angel would be a good first try, just three colors. I hoop two layers of WSS, use an 80/12 needle (unless I’m using metallic thread—then I use a 90/14 topstitch needle for the whole thing), and the bobbin thread is the same as the top thread (because you see both sides). When you finish, just rinse out a bit of the WSS because you want some left in to make it stiff when it dries.
