These are panels I made for a client who wanted tie tops. The tie tops took me twice as long as the panels to make. They aren't hard, just tedious.

She found these crystal door knobs and screwed those into a piece of wood. Then mounted the wood board to the wall. Very clever!

The lighting in the room is terrible, so my apologies for the dark photos.

How clever, where did she find those crystal door knobs?

They look great! I love the door knob look - my best friend has that in her family room. :) I sure hope that you have a Fast Turn that you were able to use for turning those ties - it makes such quick work of it.

Nonie, we have a junk place here in town, and I think she got them there. I believe they are vintage, but I'll make sure. Sometimes Hobby Lobby has these.

Kathy, I didn't turn. I did them the bias way so they'd be thicker and sturdier to hold those panels. Lots of ironing! It would have been faster if I could have turned them. :rotflo: On the other hand, this fabric was thick, so it may have been just as time consuming. :)

I love these! You did a great job. Are these the ones you hemmed at the pool?

The glass knobs remind me of ones on all the doors in our previous home. It was an older home, in a historic district. The cabinets in the bathrooms also had crystal knobs. I love vintage hardware!

Haha Janet. No, I'm working on new ones now. My friend, Ann, finds deals on fabric and drapery panels and sends them to me to fix or make to put in rental units. The ones I have now are grommeted linen panels. She hates grommets, so I'm simply turning them up and hand stitching them. That way she only loses 4 inches rather than 8, and she has the option of taking out the stitches if she ever changes her mind. LOL Also the grommets make for great weights, since they will become the bottom hem.
