I just liked looking at the ones Rett did. Way too many little kids in and out of my house for that.

Rett's were always so pretty. She has such a touch of creating decor all around her home blending with her lovely tablescapes.

I have the perfect table in our dining room and we only use it about once a month or so. I could have something just perfect set up. I'm getting bad about keeping a centerpiece on it. The girls like my pretty table setting as little as I do. I really get in a rut!

I love seeing them, but certainly am not gifted that way. My tablescapes look like a 2 year old put them together! LOL!

Keep sharing yours!

I love looking at them, Nonie, but just don't have that talent. I enjoyed trying one last fall when my SS class was coming over for our First Saturday Fellowship, and it lasted through Thanksgiving. But since then, the table has been bare. :(

That's something I wasn't blessed with. I so enjoyed seeing Rett's though.

I used to do it at Thanksgiving with the food, but my little bunch "ain't" got time for that! The tablescape I have now is a ceramic basket loaded with "I'll put it away later" stuff :) .

Rett always does have beautiful tablescapes! Her talent and creativity is amazing, in that area. Always love seeing them.

I used to do it more, in our previous neighborhood, where we entertained frequently. The neighborhood also had an annual home tour. I would help other neighbors decorate; sometimes loaning pieces of china, crystal or silver. We recently changed churches, and our new one has many meal centered activities. Some events are held at church, and others in private homes. I have noticed there are several members very talented in creating beautiful tables. When we hosted a small church group, we chose to do so in a restaurant, but I still added a few personal touches to the restaurant's centerpiece and place settings.

As a young child, my grandmother always had the children make napkin rings, place cards, help with centerpieces, and set the table for holiday meals. It kept us busy, and was our contribution to the family meal, when we were too young to help in the kitchen. Maybe my grandmother influenced my appreciation for tablescapes, as well as sewing and other needlework!
