Some of my Autumn decor

Postby Rettabug » October 16th, 2013, 1:25 pm

Per Karen K's request, I'm posting a few photos of various autumnal decorations around the house.
I'll have more as soon as I upload the Halloween tablescape from my camera.

I've decided my beautiful brown Noritake plates need a touch of orange for fall...any idea where I can find lovely pumpkin soup and fruit bowls? I use a blue accent with them year round...and they hibernate for December...but, yes, they are screaming for orange....sunflowers could be ordered with the set as a sandwich plate, but it's really that pumpkin bowl Rett showed somewhere!

Linda, I found those pumpkin shaped plates & bowls at Walmart a few years ago. I have not see them since but if I do, I'll give you a shout.

Angie, I just feather dust around them. :rotflo:

I take down all my red/white & blue stuff (its been up since June 14th for Flag Day, Memorial Day & July 4th) right after Labor Day & everything gets a good cleaning before I put out the autumn things. I wait till my Charlie's birthday to add the Halloween items to it all. They get put away on All Souls Day & the autumnal things remain until the day after Thanksgiving. Everything gets cleaned well again & THEN ITs CHRISTMAS!!! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!

These shots of the fireplace mantel are from before. It looks way different this year. I'll try to take a new picture but the sun is shining in that arched window & it is really hard to see.

One more autumn table in the kitchen's sunroom:
