I tried a little decorating

Postby nonie » October 14th, 2013, 3:44 pm

I haven't done seasonal decorating except the few things I do at Christmas, so I thought I would give fall a chance. this is my feeble attempt.

Not feeble at all!! I love them both. (And I've had coffee at that table where the rooster is.......ah fond memories)
Your little pilgrims are the cutest. Did you make them?

It looks lovely!
I only managed to hang fall wreaths on our front wrought iron gates. You would never know it is fall inside, though. I used to always decorate when our son was home, and we entertained more. I also decorated my store for the various seasons. Along the way, the house seems to have been forgotten. I really need to get back into practice!
Enjoy your festive settings, and thanks for sharing and inspiring!

Good Morning, that is so pretty for Fall. and with the pilgrims you are set all the way through Thanksgiving.

I'm working slowly on a table decor (I would positively never never call mine a tablescape). I have the bitty pumpkins and gourds on and, the Avon bottles of the game birds washed...just need to check them out one more time. Years of dust is hard to remove!

I did find a bag of other things and will have the girls help me with them tomorrow.

I like what you did, Nonie.....as well as encouraging some of the rest of us to try!

I think it looks LOVELY, Nonie! :D It has all the colors of autumn.
I've always wanted to get some pilgrim figurines...your little dolls are cute!
Love the roosters, too. I've got my big boy up on top of the bakers rack.

Oh Nonie, you surprise me with your decorating talents, love both of them. Those little dolls are so cute....do you ever use that giant covered dish with the dipper in the back? I bet it would hold an awful lot of anything. I'm not too up on fancy dishes either or I would know that. Anyway, I am enjoying yours and the others that post here. The big rooster is pretty all by himself, I loved him the most.

How sweet of all of you, thank you very much, it is hard sometimes to share things. Betty, yes, I have used the soup tureen and for soup and a few times for punch.
No, I didn't make the dolls, I have had those for years, they always appear about this time of year.
The big rooster is extra special, he is a gift from my sister who knew I loved roosters. She had bought me a bristol table for the deck and thought he would look nice on the little table and he does :D He is very, very special to me.
