Tea Cozy

Postby KarenVA » December 28th, 2016, 2:17 pm

I used a pattern by Pink Sand Beach Designs--Afternoon Tea Party--and made a tea cozy for our DS's MIL (she is a real sweetheart!!). The fabrics are the Williamsburg Collection by Windham Fabrics. This was an easy pattern to make. I personalized it by using the letter only from Sonia Showalter's Basket of Elegance alphabet.

She will love it, and you for thinking of her! I adore those fabrics! I carried a few Windham fabrics when I had my store and always enjoyed their prints. They especially had some nice florals. There are several really nice and well stocked quilt stores in my area, but they seldom carry the Windham fabrics. Wish more of them did!

Maybe I should make a cozy for my tea cup. It never seems to stay warm enough! :)

What a perfect present and the fabrics are beautiful.
This is the first real tea cosy I've seen in yonks. Although you get a mini two cup sized teapot in a lot of cafes, at home most people make individual servings of tea from teabags in a mug nowadays, so its wonderful to know that someone in the US makes tea the proper good old fashioned English way!

It's so elegant, Karen! I especially like the trim you placed between the two fabrics. I bet she loved it.

Like Heather, I just love those fabrics.
I shall have to look up Windham fabrics on the web.
Thank you so much for sharing.
