Tote bag for FIL's fiance

Postby angelalee511 » December 20th, 2016, 10:29 am

I found this nautical fabric at my local quilt store and thought it would make a nice tote bag. She is always on the go and has her hands full of stuff. I thought this would help tame the stuff!

I have used this pattern before and really like it. I chose not to quilt it. I just used a heavy duty stabilizer on the focus fabric, and it stands up quite nicely. In hindsight, I should have added some sort of closure to the top.

Love your fabric choices! I have a large tote and don't have a closure - I like it that way. I carry all my sewing stuff to meetings in it. :D

That is so pretty! Bright and will make her day! I like closures, but, prefer the magnetic ones, so you don't have to put something down and fuss with the snap or a button.

It is so bright and fun! And Wow! it stands up completely on its own! You must have used some very sturdy interfacing. I agree with Kathy that the lack of a closure is really not a problem at all.
