One set of oven mitts

Postby nonie » November 12th, 2016, 3:47 pm

Finally one set done. I was going to do them all and then post a picture, since that means you will have to wait a very long time, this is what I am up to. They are different, this set is green.

That set is so pretty, and a great guy set!! Was that a free pattern on the Internet or one you purchased. I like that shape. I have a rectangle/almost square one that Jennifer gave me with the glove. It was hard to get used to using the smaller one on the hand...just a mind set thing, but I love it now!!

Do you use cotton or wool batting as well as the foil type insulate. Curious minds.....

Thank you Linda, not a free pattern, it is Pot Handlers by Tiger Lily Press. The pattern also has instructions for making just potholders without the pocket.
I used insul-bright and thermolam plus. The fabric is from stash.

Love 'em, Nonie!! The hot pepper fabric is very appropriate. I think I have some in my stash, too. I'm glad somebody else also makes their own potholders. I hate the readymade ones; even the ones in high-end stores are too thin and flimsy. I burn myself every time I use the storebought ones...

I love the color combo on these Nonie. And the pockets are a must have for me now. These make such great gifts!
