Never again!!

  I don't care what the design is or what color is called for I will never smock with black thread ever again. I just spent a whole day smocking, taking out, smocking again, for a total of four times!! I thought the fabric would fall apart. I could not see the black stitches once they were in and therefore lost my place many times.

Just had to vent. What is there now will stay!! Including all mistakes.

It is a halloween design, should be easy, black on white, right? Well no, not for this blind person. To make matters worse, I was even using natural day light.

I am with you on that!!!! I am smocking black on black/white gingham. I made a ton of mistakes and the whole pattern is off by about 4 pleats. But it is a bishop with a bound neckline, so it won't be super obvious. But I refuse to change it yet again!!!!!!! But I know it will be cute in the end!!! It has to be!!!!
