Damb facings for a wrap dress....

Postby joy_bugg73 » May 15th, 2009, 3:26 pm

Wrap dresses have one side that “laps” wraps over the other hence the name, traditionally the right over the left…well this afternoon was not my day…and I will be putting the dress down until later. The facing that runs up the right lap edge of the skirt and then the lap edge of the top, around the back of the neck, and then to the inside…I have messed up this facing every way I could. The skirt facing is on the left side instead of the right side…not once did I do this but twice. :rotflo: In trying to fix I then stitched it with wrong sides together instead of right. Enough all ready I am taking a break. :ranting:

What pattern are you using? Somedays it is better to just walk away for awhile.

Yikes! I hate it when that kind of stuff happens! So glad you can laugh at yourself though - makes the dumb mistakes a little easier to take. :rotflo: Believe me, you're not alone on the dumb mistakes.
