Shouldn't try to pleat when Holt is here!!!

Postby HoltsSadie » February 2nd, 2009, 9:32 am

I was working on two little pink baby bishops while playing with Holt at the same time in the sewing room. Got them both ready to pleat and realized I had put int he French seams on the wrong side. Not too bad as this is Imperail batiste which really has no right or wrong side. But realized I had the lace trim on the puffed sleeve on the reverse side, so it is either take off the" rolled and whipped by machine lace", which will destroy the lace or take out the French seams by hand which will take forever or just cut off the seams and re-do. I think I will opt for the latter, even though it will take off some seam allowance. That shouldn't matter on a bishop for a baby, huh?? I mean, how bad off could that make the fit???? It is CC's original bishop pattern that fits 6m-18m.
