Fat Free Fried Chicken

Postby nana judy » August 27th, 2016, 4:48 pm

I like grilled chicken and barbcued chicken but I have really missed fried chicken so I played around a little with this and I think got something that really works well for us. I have also done it with pork chops . both taste like the fried variety. The only fat is what is inherently in the meat.

Fat Free Fried Chicken
boneless skinless chicken tenders, thawed, rinsed and patted dry
flour seasoned to your preference
fat free milk
cooking spray
cast iron skillet

Preheat oven to 400. Spray a cast iron skillet heavily and I do mean heavily with cooking spray. Place in the preheated oven to preheat the sprayed skillet. when the skillet is hot pass the chicken tenders through the fat free milk and then coat with seasoned flour. Place in hot skillet. spray the side of the chicken that is up. Put skillet in oven and bake 15 mins, turn chicken or pork chops and bake another 15 mins. chicken will be done. Remove from skillet and enjoy.

This looks delicious Judy! thanks for sharing. I'll have to see if one of my flour substitutes works.

This looks good!
When I bake chicken and/or fish, I put Parmesan flakes on top, and they get crispy like a batter. So good!
