Sweet Orange Chicken

With long hot summer days, I don't even want to go close to the BBQ. Nothing better then putting your slow cooker to work.
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
1 fryer chicken cut up (3-4 pds)
2/3 cup orange marmalade
2/3 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 Tablespoons minced fresh ginger root

1. Place flour in large resealable plastic bag. Add chicken pieces a few at a time and coat with flour. Place in slow cooker.
2. In a small bowl combine orange marmalade, bbq sauce, soy and ginger and pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until juices from chicken run clear.
Serve with rice or noodles, I prefer noodles

I also love the touch or oriental flavor.

I bet I would love this! We used to go to a Chinese restaurant that served orange chicken, and it was so good.

Sounds like a wonderful recipe, and a lo fat one IF one skins the chicken!!

Shirley, I love that orange chicken at our Asian restaurants...I would love to find that recipe for sure...is that the one with Sesame seeds?
