5 ozs butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 level tablespoon golden syrup, 1 level tablespoon cocoa, 1 cup rice bubbles, 1 cup Self-Raising
flour, pinch salt, 4 ozs raw peanuts, chocolate icing.

Put butter, sugar and syrup in saucepan over moderate heat until melted. Remove from heat; add cocoa, mix in well, add vanilla, rice bubbles,
and chopped peanuts. Mix in sifted flour, salt. Spread evenly in well greased lamington tin.
Bake in moderate oven until cooked, about 15 minutes.
Cool, ice with chocolate icing. When set, cut into small squares to serve.
Enjoy......Lexie

Are rice bubbles what we call Rice Krispies? Lexie, they are a crunchy rice cereal that are puffed up a little and are crunchy. I am guessing that's it. I've always wanted to try your country's "slices".
