Question about websites

Postby nixon_family4 » December 11th, 2010, 5:18 pm

I have found numerous really good blogs and tutorials and such pertaining to sewing, and re-purposing and all kinds of great stuff! Is it ok to post a list here? I'll keep it short and sweet, but I would really love to share some of them!

Of coarse it's ok to share blogs you find that are a big help to you. We love to share what we find and exspand on what we learn and hope to learn. I have never been able to figure out why some sewing site don't allow sharing, but then maybe most of them are also selling something.

Yay! Here are a few that I found and either have tried or am gearing up to try!

A Fabric Bowl: http://blog.imaginefabric.com/2009/04/how-to-make-fabric-bowl.html

Easy Kids Pants: http://handyprojects.blogspot.com/2005/04/how-to-make-easy-kids-pants.html

Short Sleeves to Long http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2009/09/re-purposing-short-sleeve-to-long.html

Morsbags (has a tutorial and directions on different links): http://www.morsbags.com

I've tried the pants and the short to long sleeves on, am looking for something to be the center of the bowl, and am trying to convince the hubs that morsbags are right for our family, lol. On a side not, the morsbags link has some cool statistics on it as well.

I hope I did the url's right!

Thanks for the links. Some fun browsing there. I always have to smile at the repurposing of things - I have enough fabric here to open a shop, so I just need to sew up what I've got for anyone that might need it. I won't need to repurpose ever! :rotflo: :rotflo: :rotflo: Of course, that wasn't always the case - I could have used those ideas about 29 years ago. :)

I had a hard to buy for tween on my Christmas list, so I've decided to try the cloth bowl out, and maybe some hair ties to go along with it in matching colors! I get to try another one on the list (does the happy sewing dance)! :mademyday:
