tube quilt

Learning and sharing the art of quilt making

tube quilt

Postby angelalee511 » December 12th, 2017, 8:52 am

I didn't have time to wait for great weather to snap a picture of the finished quilt but I did have pics of the quilt top when I was trying to decide how to arrange my squares. I had plenty of mistakes on this quilt but I learned so much from doing it, so I call it a success. Sorry about my work space. That's my ADD. those are little button on panties at the top, and Britt's fabric for her grocery bags to the left. And I certainly didn't mean to get my toilet in there. :rotflo: :rotflo:

This is the easiest way to explain. You basically sew strips together. Two color strips with a white in the center and two white strips with a color in the center. Then stitch those two together along both long edges forming a tube. Then cut them into triangles which then come out as squares!

Nonie,I did not. I cut my strips I believe 3" x WOF. I cut way too many, since the quilt was only 3' x 3'. That's all she wanted.

I love it! I'm always having to retake pictures because of all the junk I forgot to move!
