Again, more place mats

I made these using the strip quilting and used flannel for the filling instead of batting. I think I like them better. These are for the DIL. that loves place mats, so slowly I will make her special ones to use on special times.

Also will be a Christmas present.

Those turned out great Nonie. She will love them! I too love the stripes. Very festive too.

She will love these! So fun and festive!

I think flannel is a great idea. I find some batting a little too "fluffy", making the mats less stable for certain glasses or dishes.

Love the flannel idea. I wish you had posted that earlier. I used iron on interfacing to keep it flat and not fluffy. I have lots of white flannel I could have used. With all of the craft projects people now make, they’ve certainly upped the cost of iron on products. And I believe the widths are much narrower now too.
