Problem fabric

Postby nonie » August 26th, 2007, 3:12 pm

In my stash is this piece of fabric that Zoe pulled out and asked me to make her something from it. Well, now I need all of you to help me out. I put the fabric back once and again it showed up on the cutting table. I am blank as to what to make. The fabric has a navy blue back ground and big (really big) pink roses on it. I can't see it as anything for a little girl, but she loves it HELP!!!! You are all so good about using fabric I would never think of using so maybe just maybe????

If blue shows through you could always put a layer of white broadcloth under the pink and white.

Redondo would work, I thought of that, then thought, what would you put with it. You could do ruffles along seams with gingham - - - - - - without anything along seams, you lose the effect to a certain degree. You could put in the sixth gore like I did on the BAMADONDO and use just one other fabric, but again WHAT? Got to keep the weight of the fabrics in mind. I personally haven't tackled the ruffle on seam YET! I sitting here cackeling, anyone need eggs?????

The roses are about 3" across. Very big flowers. Thank you for all your ideas. I just knew there is alot of creative thinkers here.
