Fabric suggestions

Postby scottstown » April 23rd, 2011, 8:28 am

Hello,

I am a new member here and need a little advice on choosing a fabric for a project.

I am looking for a fabric that will:
1. not melt in any way
2. not float (sink in water)
3. not allow heat transfer, redirect heat back (most important)
4. be sewable.

Thank you in advance for any help,
Scott

It would be much easier to suggest a fabric if you'd tell us what you're making. What have you in mind?

Are you looking for the teflon fabric we use in hot pads and ironing board covers. I have no idea if it floats or sinks....I'm like Karen, what are you using it for, so we have suggestions.
