Stretch fabric with fun patterns

Postby SilentxGlaive » March 2nd, 2009, 1:26 pm

I was looking into making some tshirts, but I find it hard to find fun print in stretchy type fabric.

I want to make shirts like this:

I have tried researching this everywhere and I just can't find anything. I've looked up tshirt fabric, stretch cotton etc. Am I looking in the wrong places??

Please help :/ :morcoffee:

Finding cute/bright prints is not an easy task. Keep your search to lycra/spandex knits for fabric such as the top is made from. This might help you you started in the right direction.

Thank you for posting that link. I knew there was a good one out there but could not find it. Now, I will put it in my fav's. I noticed they also have the lycra knits.

You might try a lycra/spandex fabric. I know you can get cute prints and also solids at Hancock's (I assume JoAnn's also but I don't have a local one). This is the type of fabric for bathing suits. From the looks of the shirts you'd probably need less that 1/2 yard and the fabric is usually 40%-50% off so you could probably make a top for $2.50.

Good luck!
