Vintage Patterns question

Postby Mommabear » April 23rd, 2007, 1:56 pm

How do you find out how old a pattern is if it has no date on the envelope?
I tried a quick search on google, but all I got was the new pattern of the same #.

The envelope says: Quick! Butterick 6556
It a girls jumper, pants, skirt, shorts.

THanks.

Try checking the instruction sheet. Sometimes (in very tiny letters) you can find the copyright date.

You could get a ballpark age of it by the price on it. I'm guessing it's from the 70's. Teri
