Using the ruffler-HELP

Postby nonie » September 14th, 2008, 5:14 pm

I am using my back up machine, which should not matter as the ruffler has always worked well on this machine. Now, I don't know whats wrong and need some help. The machine works fine, stitches are all very nice. Then I put the ruffler on and the bobbin thread wants to tangle within the the first couple of stitches. I take off the ruffler and its sew's perfect. What am I doing wrong?

Nonie, check the needle. Doesn't the ruffler make things a little thicker, maybe the needle isn't reaching the bobbin or maybe it's too long. Does that make sense???? Other than that, I don't know. :sewing:

Gosh Nonie.....I haven't a clue! The one time I was having *issues* with my ruffler, one of the screws in the back had come lose. Be sure to tighten all of them, put in a new needle & a fresh bobbin too, just in case.
