I know, do you?

What those stitches are for.

I know, do you?

I was surprised when I took a class on using my machine at how many students there did not know what this is used for and why it is in their accessory box. Do you know?

First off, your fabric is be- u - ti FUL! Sparkles and stars and pink, fit for a Disney Princess. I'm curious to see what it becomes!

That is one of two things....depending on the width if the strip of fabric....a knee lift if it is width of fabric folded...but mine doesn't look quite like that. The other would be the things attached to a regular or walking foot to keep your parallel lines even.

Those are my guesses!

I have something that looks like that that came with my walking foot. I use it to measure the distance. Am I close?

It's used for straight lines, right? :sewing:

I've used it as a guide for sewing rows and rows of parallel lines, as when I quilted fabric to be used for Christmas stockings. That might not be its intended purpose but it sure worked very well!

You are all right. It can also be used for top stitching, to keep the stitches straight. I was surprised in class when no one knew. Very handy tool.
