wee care bonnet SAGA issue Aug 2013

Postby nonie » August 31st, 2016, 1:07 pm

On pg 17 there is a tiny little bonnet, I was thinking of using that pattern to go with the tiny gowns I just made, but---I don't really want to do the faggot stitch on all of the bonnets. Could I just add the brim dimensions to the hat pattern to make the size I need? Then I could add other trim and make them a little different?????

I purged many copies of my SAGA magazines, and don't have that issue. If you can share a photo, maybe some of us can help. Otherwise, hope someone with a copy can help.

I had to go to the SAGA website and "find" the download version of that copy as I didn't have it either. I think you can add the brim section to the body section of the bonnet but be sure and add about 1/4" for the space where the fagoting was - then you can trim however you like! Cute bonnet! I'm sure you're will be equally cute!

Thank you Kathy, that is about what I was thinking but needed to be sure.
Judy I will see if it is alright to share the pattern on here as it is very cute and perfect for those tiny, tiny babies.
