Need some guidence

Postby nonie » June 3rd, 2016, 2:45 pm

Lasy year for Christmas I made a potholder type top for a towel holder to use in the kitchen. I used towels I had on hand and do not remember just where they came from but, I have had request's to make more of this type of towel holder. So my question is--where do you find kitchen towels that work making projects??? Not the already printed towels.

I normally get mine from Bed, Bath, & Beyond. They wash nicely, and they're about $3.99 a piece normally. They are terry cloth, but with a low pile.
I've read where Kohl's has some nice towels to embroider on that aren't terry cloth. I'm going to check those out the next time I'm in Shreveport.
I have found some neat towels at Big Lots. It's a discount store that gets different stuff all of the time.

Marshalls or Homegoods always have a nice selection.

I have used flour sacks from Walmart. These are thin, so I make two layers. They may not embroider well though.

Nonie, I always use the towels from BB&B. Nice quality and they wash up great. Plus you can use your 20% coupons!
