Oh to look that good even close to your age Betty! I just want a picture of Andy's face when he sees you in that dress. You did a great job on it!

Wow, I never imagined that fabric could look sooooo fabulous! I knew you could do it justice!@ Ok, off to make a luncheon for a funeral and then pies for a dinner. Thinking my sewing keeps getting sidetracked by life! The organization I belong to here puts on a coalition for after funerals if the family requests it. We had one of our members pass away this past weekend, so we are all putting the food together for the family, they won't have to do anything. And we have been gearing up for our winter farmer markets which I stupidly said I would help with! I need to learn to tape my mouth shut! I want to get into the sewing room and finish cleaning it out so hubby can create my new space. Help me!

Want to thank everyone for those fabulous comments about me and the dress, gosh, I feel 20 years younger as a result :) and someday I will confess and apologize about the dress/fabric.
You ladies have made my day, really my month at least.

Here are my pictures.
Sorry it is so late! Linda, the fabric was a bit of a bugger to work with as it was soft and very drapeable. I had to interface the entire bodice to get it to work!

This is an age 6 scaled up version of my Rosie Romper doll pattern.

This is the pattern I get asked to do in child sizes most often

I don't think it is practical. For smaller girls who have just been toilet trained the back fastening means they will need help to be able to go to the loo, and for older girls it is too frilly!

Very awesome! I like what you did...I still wonder what I envisioned when I bought it! Perhaps my little sister led me astray! You have done a splendid deed for the fabric!
