Sewing small objects can also be frustrating, with tiny seams and curves. Then again it does depend on how small your dolls are. I always do as much by machine as possible.

I would suggest that you find a sewing machine store. One that sells the machines, but not just like Walmart. A machine store so they can demonstrate the machine. Most will let you try them. Then you will see if you think they will be better for the sewing. You do not have to buy to try. If you will tell us what town and state you live in, maybe someone here can suggest what store to go to.
