Zipper storage idea

I found this nifty idea for storing zippers!! She uses binder clips and push pins on a cork board:

Great idea! Mine are currently in a vintage metal shoe box.

Why do we buy and save so many zippers? It seems like when I need one, I still have to go out and buy one. Never have the ‘one’ I need. Unless you do repetitive projects, it’s hard to have the right one when needed. But, with that said, I wish I had a cork board I could hang mine from. I love that idea. But there is just not a wall without cabinets, windows, or something to keep me from being able to do that. I used to have a cork board above my sewing machine. I’d hang the instructions with the push pins. So handy to just be able to look up when i had a construction question. But there is a window above the machine now, and I guess I’d pick that in place of a wall anyway if given the choice

Same here Karen. I have so many that I don't use but am afraid to get rid of. I really need to purge some. If you have a door, you could use a towel bar or drapery rod and get the drapery rings with clips to accomplish the same thing. Kind of like this but not the hooks. I would knock these hooks off every time I needed a zipper.

I'm afraid to hang mine like this because they'd get dusty in my room. But I did toy with the idea of using them as a window top treatment. I wouldn't like all the colors though. :rotflo:
