Help me decide

Postby nonie » March 12th, 2017, 10:13 am

I picked a few very simple patterns I should be able to handle, which one should be the first I make? Machine embroidery will be involved and since it has been such a long time since I have done any of that I will be asking ton's of questions.

Since summer is just around the corner, I'd pick Bonnie Blue. And it could use a large or small design

Holly would be the most simple, to ease you back into sewing. It might also be the easiest to machine embroider.

My experience with Bonnie Blue Design patterns is they tend to run large. I often made a size smaller than I would with other patterns, such as Children's Corner.
Both Creations by Michie and BBD seemed to always run larger than CC.

Cannot wait to see what you decide and make!

I like all of them - any one of them would be so cute! As Jan mentioned - they run really large, so I would either measure against a pattern that fits or go down a size unless you're sewing for a "sturdy" child. LOL! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

I like the Holly jumper, too, because it has lots of room for machine embroidery or machine applique.

Because she is still so small, I'd go with the Holly too. I like the Riley, but it would be better when she's bigger.

Hey there lovely lady..... make them all!!!!!!Little ones need lots of clothes especially as they get mobile and when they can get outside. Compared to bought clothes, these little ones take very little fabric to make and look at all the fun you will have. xxxxxxxxx

Thank you, I am waiting for CoriAnn to let me know her measurements, then I will at least have a close guess. So glad you told me about the sizing.
