Re: Using a topper

I used to use it only napped fabrics and knits. But, I started using it more on monograms or designs with wider areas of satin stitch. It did seem to really help. I also use it if the fabric is rather loosely woven, as in some dish towels.

Re: Apron

Perfect fabric and apron for the coffee lady! Fingers crossed it fits!

I was thinking bias finishing for learning purposes. As you said, who knows???

You and I always seem to end up correcting things, at work and sewing school. Hope you enjoyed a glass of wine on your porch, afterwards!

Re: I figured out a Rudolph!!

Fantastic!!! Love his bright red nose. He will definitely be able to guide the sleigh! I usually remember Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Comet, Cupid, and Vixen. I always thought it was Donder, but think it is really Dunder? Blixem never made sense to me, but I think some names were made just to rhyme. Ru...

Re: Any Nacho lovers?

Those look especially delicious!

I have made nachos, as meals and snacks, for many years. But, I use the microwave.

Re: School shirts 2023

Shirley, thanks for all the knit embroidery hints! My experience was mostly on smaller items, such as onesies. Size and access was often a problem, along with other things.

I have seen the first day pennants on a few FB embroidery pages. Cute idea!

Re: OESD Sleigh and Reindeer

Beautiful -- and a lot of stitching!!
Like you, I never understand designs or decorations without Santa's full team of reindeer! There has to be some way to make Rudolph stand up.

Re: School shirts 2023

Great job on all! Love the First Day of School pennant, too! Did you make it? I admire you for embroidering knit shirts. I always stressed more over those. I am often encouraged to start a side hustle, and do embroidery/monogramming for friends and family. I know there would be knits involved, and n...

Re: Orange Julius

What memories! I used to love Orange Julius! I tried a few copy cat recipes over the years, but not in a very long time.

I did not even realize they still made Tang! I remember when John Glenn used it in space, making it so popular!

Re: sew what pro help

As others said, if you still name the file the same ("Dean"), it should replace the first one. When I was doing a lot of monogramming, I saved my files with the name (i.e., Dean), and then the name of the font. I know the font name sometimes comes up in the window to the right, on the scre...
