Re: Knit Panel

They look great!!! Nice and even!!

I misunderstood what you were doing originally--I thought these were going to be put on a stretcher frame and hung on the wall--like wall art!! Knit fabric for curtains is even harder to work with!! You did a great job for your mom!!

Zipper storage idea

I found this nifty idea for storing zippers!! She uses binder clips and push pins on a cork board:

Kathy D--question about button elastic for boys pants

I was reading your blog and saw the neat way to do the elastic on the waistband so the little one can wear them longer. How did you do that?

Re: Topic is organizing--

Very tidy, Nonie!! It makes sewing so much more fun when things are neat and at hand, doesn't it?

My sweetie has always used "tins" to keep stuff tidy in our car cubbies!

Re: I'm learning how to do ruler work!

Well, Nonie, it's sort of free motion--but you use a special foot and guide it along a 1/4" thick ruler to get even lines of quilting. So, you move the fabric and the ruler together. Here's a link to Amy Johnson's Blog where she demonstrates how to do it. I took a Craftsy Class by her and learn...

Meet Willa the Witch!

Here is another finished UFO!! WOOHOO I'm on a roll here!! I found her panel in my stash when I was organizing my fabric. She was just too cute to fold up and put away for another day.

OOOPS--her name is really Willa--not Hazel!

Re: Finally finished!!!

Thank you, Ladies!!

And, YES, Nonie--I have waaaaaay too many UFOs from years ago just waiting to be completed!! Isn't it funny how you leave them alone for such a long time, and all of a sudden it just feels like the right time to sew them?

Finally finished!!!

I've had this panel and pattern since the early 1990s!!! And, I just now got around to sewing it!! Good Grief!! I waited so long that the company went out of business--and I had to find the wig on Ebay!!
