Re: Need Help on how to sew this!!!

I think you would put the pieces (lining and outer fabric) right (correction!!) sides together and sew the seam--leaving an opening unstitched (on a straight section--not the curve) to turn it right side out. Then hand stitch the opening closed. It looks like it is then topstitched about 1/2" f...

Re: Sewing and quilting with our daughter!

Thank you all for such kind remarks!!! When Teresa was six years old, she wanted to learn how to sew for her dolls. She learned how to pick a pattern and fabric, cut out the pattern pieces, follow pattern instructions, and sew by hand . She did a good job--and her dolls were well-dressed! LOL Then, ...

Re: Free motion

I was just going to suggest Lori Kennedy, too. She is amazing!! I used one of her turtle designs when I quilted our daughter's T-shirt quilt. I printed the design and then traced it on quilting paper as many times as I needed the design and pinned them to the quilt. Then I quilted around the turtles...

Mug Rugs

So, I saw this panel http://www.wilmingtonprints.com/our-fab ... -54558-423 and thought it would make nice mug rugs instead of a cloth book. These are really fast reversible mug rugs--I was in a hurry--the next ones will have binding!

My Nativity Set

Here is the Nativity set I cut out with my scroll saw and painted a few years ago. We have a double mantel, so this sits on the top one. It stays up year round because it took me two years to finish it!!
