Re: Just some fun sewing

Karen, what fun you had!!! And, Theresa certainly has some pretties and necessities for her sewing room.

I have not seen the ironing board accessory before. How nice!! I think I will have to do one of those!!

Re: Miracle Camp quilts for Iowa Burn youth

Thank you for all your nice comments. I'm not sure how many our guild did. We should get a count tomorrow at our sewing day! The other area guild did a total of 40. What wonderful worker bees!!!

Re: Miracle Camp quilts for Iowa Burn youth

I used the scale 640 x480 the auto formula. It didn't work this time for whatever reason. I know the first time I used what Nancy suggested....before I could check that out Sylvia was kind enough to do it for me. I so appreciate her help. It is always quirky when someone is doing something new and d...

Re: Miracle Camp quilts for Iowa Burn youth

Sylvia, thankyou for the size. I need to mark that down someplace! But, do you ever forget where you put those precious notes!!! I used the program Imgbb that Nancy talked about. It was soooo easy the first time. I did get the save figured out...and I am sure my problem was that the file was too lar...

Re: Miracle Camp quilts for Iowa Burn youth

Sylvia, thank you so much for doing this. Do you remember what size you used! I did a 640, and this morning, my brain can think better and know now I should have looked at Nancy's first post on this! But, a huge thank you!!! Linda

Miracle Camp quilts for Iowa Burn youth

Thank you, Sylvia, so very appreciated https://ibb.co/csh0fF https://ibb.co/eqXcSv https://ibb.co/hX8vEa I hope this works correctly. I did not remember how to save and didn't see a save. Nancy should a picture be visible when I pre...

Re: Another quilting question

Nonie, Urban Threads has a lot of redwork type constellations. I think you would still have to do redwork random dots. http://www.urbanthreads.com/products.aspx?productid=UT10422 However, I'm sure you could make a big picture of a constellation and do the stars and run a simple quilt stitch between ...

Re: Another quilting question

I do random on baby quilts...and think on a placemat the measured ones would be nice...and easily handled with a smaller field. Is there a constellation Sailors something? You could try being creative with that, if there is such a thing!

I just love that wave... ❤️

Re: Another quilting question

A very nice wave! My machine does something like that but much smaller! Ava would draw in the sun and make rain out of your bar tacks!!! You will want to do at least tacks through out, just to help hold it all together. I have found fusible fleece is not permanent :(

Re: Another quilting question

Jan, I love the tacking idea! I use that a lot for baby quilts. Never occurred to me to do this on a placemat or other items! How narrow minded one can get!

Re: Another quilting question

A set of three wavy lines as in Lori Kennedys last example, then a two inch space, then another set of three wavy lines together, etc all the way....you could just stay away from your anchor all together on that side. I'm assuming you have a side placement of your anchor. If not just leave aportion ...

Re: Another quilting question

Can you sketch out just curved lines with a wave here and there. Perhaps keep your row about 1.5 inches apart. You could stitch that with your quilting embroidery foot with thread that matched the dark color of your placemats. I'll see if Imcan find a picture of what I mean...or a web site. Linda Ed...
