Re: Freemotion - Looping Thread

Karen! Thank you for sharing that piece of information.

I've always know that one needs to practice practice...but never had that explanation and would always quit the practice and clean clean clean!!! And, the cleaning effort didn't help. Now we know!

Re: The Domestic Sewing Machine for the right handed user

I don't think managing the wheel is the most important aspect of sewing. I would have difficulty managing the seamline, keeping it at a quarter, half or 5/8 inch width.

Interesting idea ps people come up with....and, perhaps it is good to be multi-dexterous.

Re: I need ideas...

Perhaps you would want to add some contrasting colors, and start withbuilding the center of the quilt first with the contrasting colors and the wedding clothes. Then finish it up with your left over contrasting colors. I think some batiks would be pretty with the Hawaiian theme for your contrast as w...

Re: Simplicity 1722 All comments and suggetions welcome

I think you covered all your bases!! In my minds eye, I was trying to equate the snap openings in relationship to our mammogram capes. But now as I'm writing, I'm concerned about the extra layer of gathers in the back...around the neckline for comfort when she lays on a double layer in that neckline...

Re: Finally finished!!!

She is just so fun! I am glad you were able to find the wig...just makes her personality. Nonie, maybe, after Christmas, we should challenge the group to finding a very old project in our collection and working on it. (Don't you like my nice word for stash?) Karen, she just looks like she should com...

Re: Quick quilt

Nonie, you could use the smaller pieces and make do two four square patches with two plain patches. Cut the patches 2 1/2 or three inches for a 4 sq patch. Then the larger square would be cut 4 1/2 inches if you are using 2 1/2 inch squares for the 4 sq. Patch. Or if using 3inch squares make the pla...

Re: Quick quilt

First what sizes are your scraps. Are there enough to use masculine (boy) pieces a lot! A nine patch always works nice made of plain colors, then set just a single square block between each 9-patch. And that works especially nice if you have an animal print or sports squares. With Seths age, and if ...

But it worked!! I think the IBB app has been changed as I could not find the resize feature and it onl...
